Gaim, the popular messaging client, is now christened Pidgin, thanks to legal issues with AIM.
Although the stable version of Pidgin is not out yet, but interested users can try out Pidgin 2.0.0 Beta 7. The Beta 7 incorporates certain cosmetic changes which were missing in Beta 6, so if you are using Beta 6, time to upgrade to some eye candy!
Update : Yahoo! has released a web version of their Messenger although it's not as slick as Meebo ( multi- protocol, widgets for your blog, no popups et al )
